Dark Hope Analytics

Terms of Service — Dark Hope Analytics

Effective date: 2026-08-29

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service apply to Dark Hope Analytics. By authorizing or using the application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not authorize or use the application.

2. Purpose of the application

Dark Hope Analytics is operated as an internal application for the Dark Hope content project. Its purpose is to authenticate the authorized account owner, retrieve authorized profile information and video performance metrics, and analyze that information to inform original content decisions. It is not offered as a public SaaS service.

3. Authorized use

Use is limited to accounts that have been explicitly authorized. The application is intended for the Dark Hope project operator. It is not offered to the public as a multi-tenant product.

4. Account authorization

Access to third-party platform data occurs only after the account owner completes the platform’s official authorization process. The application does not ask for a TikTok password. Authorization may be revoked where the platform supports revocation.

5. Third-party platforms

The application may interact with third-party platform APIs only after authorization. Those platforms remain governed by their own terms and policies. These terms do not grant any partnership, sponsorship, certification or endorsement by TikTok or any other platform. Users retain their rights in their accounts and content. Nothing in these terms grants ownership over third-party platform content.

6. Data and metrics

The application may process authorized identifiers, basic profile information, authorized video metadata and available performance metrics such as views, likes, comments and shares. Details are described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Dark Hope Analytics site text and application materials are provided by the individual developer who operates the Dark Hope project. Content that you or a platform publish remains subject to the rights and licenses that already apply to that content. These terms do not transfer platform-owned intellectual property.

8. Prohibited use

You may not use the application to impersonate another person, exceed granted permissions, attempt to publish through the TikTok Display API, sell personal data, use retrieved metrics for targeted advertising, or interfere with the security or operation of the application.

9. Availability and modifications

The application may be changed, limited or discontinued. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted availability.

10. Disclaimer

The application is provided as-is for internal analytics. It does not constitute legal, financial or professional advice. Metrics depend on what authorized APIs return and may be incomplete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the application, including losses related to third-party platform availability, metric accuracy or authorization changes.

12. Termination / revocation of access

Authorization may be revoked through the platform where supported. The operator may stop using the application at any time. See Data & Deletion for locally retained application-associated data.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published.

14. Contact / data requests

Data and privacy requests may be submitted to the application operator through the contact method published by the Dark Hope project. Deletion and access information is described on the Data & Deletion page.
