This policy describes how Dark Hope Analytics, an internal analytics application for the Dark Hope content project, handles information obtained after authorization. The application is operated by an individual developer and is not offered to third parties as a public service.

OAuth

Authentication is performed through the platform’s authorization process. The application must never ask the user to provide their TikTok password directly.

Tokens

Authorization credentials are treated as confidential and stored securely for operational use.

Retention

Data is retained only as reasonably necessary for analytics, security, historical performance comparison and operation, subject to deletion and revocation rights described on the Data & Deletion page.

Sharing

Personal data is not sold. It is not disclosed to unrelated third parties. Infrastructure or service providers may process data only as necessary to operate the site or application.

Third-party platform

TikTok remains governed by its own terms and privacy policies. Dark Hope Analytics is not affiliated with, sponsored by, certified by or endorsed by TikTok.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect authorization information and retained analytics records.

User rights

Authorization may be revoked through TikTok where supported. A request to delete locally retained application-associated profile or metric data may be made as described at /data-deletion/.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The effective date at the top of this page will be shown when a revision is published.
